Deirdre created this charming Dala Horse Necklace in sterling silver for the Santa Lucia Fest at her church. The Dala Horse is, traditionally, a "carved, painted wooden statue of a horse originating in the Swedish province of Dalarna." (Wikipedia). They were often made as toys for children.
