I love this design. They were one of my favorite weeds as a kid--I had so much fun picking the tops off bit by bit. I am sure these 'weeds' have a cool Latin name or at least a name, but to me they have always been the Beach Weeds. As a grown-up I picked a few weeds on the beach, popped them in a vase, and began to design. My Weed Grass Necklace in Sterling Silver is the result. I think it is cool to take the time too look carefully at something that is easily overlooked. On a beautiful beach is it so easy to focus on the waves, the sun on the water, or the patterns in the sand, but when you take time to look at something like a simple weed, beauty can be found.
